Living Abraham Hicks

Welcome to my new blog!

I really do love Abraham Hicks. After reading hundreds of books and studying many different spiritual disciplines, I have come to believe that the teachings of Abraham Hicks are right on.

At a time when many people are questioning the viability of the law of attraction, I believe more than ever in it and it is because of Abraham Hicks. If you really listen to and understand what they are teaching, you will realize, as I have, that the law of attraction is the prevailing law behind how our lives work.

However, that being said, I have to admit that I often take one step forward and two steps back when trying to live my life this way. I am writing this blog to chronicle just that - to consciously live life practicing the art of allowing, to live in the vortex more than not, and to be aware of the whole process.

So here I start with something that happened to me tonight. I made a conscious decision after the last presidential election that I would stop watching the news. I had spent a lot of time and energy feverishly watching everything election-oriented and I needed to completely decompress after the elections were over. It felt so good and freeing not to watch the news, that I made the decision that I wouldn't do it anymore ... and I didn't for the most part until tonight. For some reason, the news was playing on the TV and I sat down and watched it. There was no one story that was particularly horrible, but without realizing it, within an hour I was in a real blue funk. After a while it occured to me that the energy of the news got to me and in that conscious realization, I had control over the situation. I then found the funniest show I could find on television and spent the next half hour laughing my head off.

What a difference that made towards the rest of my night. I could have easily stayed in my depressive state and lived through all that that would pull into my life. Instead because of a conscious decision to understand why I was feeling negative, I was able to do something to change my energy vibration - and it felt great - and that is what this is all about, right? Feeling good!

I would love to hear about others experiences who are consciously trying to live according to the principles of Abraham Hicks. Lets get a dialogue going.

See you soon.
